Dr. Qian Yu's Teaching philosophies: Teaching should be student-centered and fun. Teachers should have an open heart, be willing to listen to their students first, and learn from each other with respect in an humble attitude. Teachers also should be honest that their knowledge is limited and that they make mistakes as everyone else does. It is just as Chinese Confucius (551BC-479BC) said that "三人行,必有我师焉“ -- “When I walk along with two others, there must be my teacher(s) among them.”
Dr. Qian Yu's Research philosophies: Research should be built on the principle of exploring the truth. Researchers should always focus on the quality, not the quantity. Researchers should ignore the power of authorities, and the attraction of reputation; but pursue the power of the truth, and the beauty of the nature.
